Summer

Summer is almost over and it seems to have flown by. Ben got a little fishing boat and has been loving it. Jeremy and Jill came up to a week in July and it was a dream for Aiden having is cousins around to play with. He keeps asking when its Christmas so Taylor will come back. The boys also love playing with friends. They play from sun up to sun down. Mom and Dad already aren't fun enough. Soon it will be time for Aiden to start Kindergarten. Nothing much has changed for us. Here are some pictures of the summer.

Aiden wanted to play soccer this year instead of baseball. He is definitely more into it this year, but his attention span only lasts about half the game. At least this year he is playing with his cousin Avery so he has some incentive. He is good at taking the ball down the field and scoring, but if another player has it he's not really interested. He also hates the camera and just stands like a statue if he sees that you have it. Here is a video. Sorry it is a little shaky, I had Ethen helping me.

Disneyland was a blast. The weather was perfect, the kids did really good and they all could go on most the rides. It was fun watching the kids enjoying the rides and especially Brooklyn joining in on the parades. The lines weren't as bad as I thought and the kids kept eachother entertained. Taylor was great at playing with Ethen and keeping him happy. The boys went early one morning and got to go on all the roller-coasters many times while Jill and I got the rest of the kids ready and to the Park with all our stuff. It was no easy task to get 4 kids, 3 strollers, and 2 bags to car, on the bus and then to the park.
We also enjoyed spending time in Vegas with the Romriells. Aiden always loves playing with his cousins. Thanks to the Romriells for everything! Next time we will try it without the earthquake.

Nothing exciting has been happening for us. The boys will do anything to play outside no matter what the weather. If it's getting too cold for me, however they will settle for playing in the garage. Ethen continues to copy everything his brother does and we are sure he will be in the ER for before too long with all his jumping and "tricks." Aiden is loving school and playing with friends, mom and dad are getting boring. Ben has started to work on his MRI certification, but he still finds time to take Aiden ice fishing. Here's a few pictures from the past couple months.

Phineas

Last Thursday, the Taylors brought us a new addition to the family. Phineas the elf came to visit. (Aiden named him). Phineas watches the kids all day and then flies to the North Pole to tell Santa how they were and comes back and lands in a different spot. Now every morning at 6:30 Aiden wakes us up to make sure Phineas came back and see where he landed. Thank you Aime, Aiden loves Phineas.

Las Vegas

Well, not having the internet sure puts a damper on your blogging. Not too much to report before our recent trip to Las Vegas anyways. It was our first road trip with the kids farther than Salt Lake. They did remarkably well. At some points I think it was longer for us than for them. It was a lovely 70 degrees and the kids took advantage of the chance to play outside. It was fun spending time with everybody and especially watching all the kids together.
At the dam I don't know which was more impressive the dam or the huge bridge they are building.

We of course had to go to Bass pro shops and see the fish while Ben enjoyed the shop. The kids also got to see Santa.
We went to the Cactus gardens and saw all the lights. Ethen could have cared less about the lights he was just interested in all the planes flying over. This was his favorite thing to do for the whole trip was to watch the planes.
On Saturday we all went to Red Rock Canyon and did some hiking. Some were more adventurous than others.
